If you think you've seen it all, then I think I found something for you- a pumpkin computer. Someone took a pumpkin and used it as a case to build a computer.

Here's the link.

It also has a link to step-by-step instructions to make one yourself. Hmm... wonder if I have enough old parts to put one together with that extra pumpkin I haven't gotten around to carving yet?

Wow. That is pretty darn cool if you ask me. I would try to make one myself if I had the money, parts and the knowledge to do so. I wonder how they kept the pumpkin from going bad. Also, the LED lights were a nice touch. Very, Very Different.

I think it looks cool, but it is something I would never buy. I think kids would love it and computer geeks, but not for me. I like stylish stuff. I wonder how much that cost though & how they put it together. It is definitely something I thought I would never see.

I think that the pumpkin computer is very interesting. Most people would have never thought of something like this. It's amazing that we have people in this world that think out of the bo x. Personally, I think that it's cool, but would never own one. What happens after Halloween? Do you pack it up until next year? I think it's interesting, but beyond that, I don't see the point.

The pumpkin computer is a cool idea however it takes someone with way too much time on their hands. It is also seasonal so I guess the next thing we have is the turkey computer and the christmas tree computer. It's something cool to look at though.

This seems like an interesting idea. It sure beats an off-white case any day of the week. My thing is if we can use a pumpkin, what else could be used for a case? I simply think this is an example of people with too much time on their hands...but thats just me.

This is real cool. I cant say that I would ever do anything like this but thats just me. Also isnt the case used as a ground source? If so how would this work out cause you cant ground out wires to a pumpkin.

I must say, I am pretty impressed with the computer made out of a pumpkin. But who in the world decideds to do something like that? I still don't understand why the pumpkin isn't rotten, it looks as if they may have covered it in some kind of plaster. Very neat idea!

Haven't seen this one before. People seem to love to see what they can make computer cases out of. I know there are lego and K'Nex computer cases. You can see them here (http://members.cox.net/dannyboyfx/) and here (http://www.techsupportdude.com/viewtopic.php?p=7037). I have a friend who made a simple computer out of a NES case. I wish I had the free time to do something like this.

This is really neat! Its amazing what some people can come up with. I would have never thought of this. But I bet kids would love it!

Wow! Thats awesome! I was like geez that's really neat. Like someone else mentioned, I wonder how they kept the pumpkin from rotting? I've carved many pumkins, and they go bad quick. I wish I had the patience to make something like that(And the knowledge, haha.) Anything different usually catches my eye. So cool!

I think it is neat, however I have no idea why someone would do that. I think that would be somewhat of a waste of money. Maybe someone will make a computer out of a Turkey for Thanksgiving.

That computer is just as fast a laptop, thats preety cool. Thats pretty smart how they thought of the idea to make a computer pumpkin. Since its pentium M and basically has everything a laptop has I wonder if it has wireless internet too.

I think that, although this computer pumpkin must have taken a lot of time and thought, it is kinda pointless. I mean, it looks interesting, but don't carved pumpkins only last a few days before they rot. It seems like a lot of work that could "go bad" relatively quickly.

Yea, thats a fun little computer, but, how can they be serious. Everybody knows that a pumpkin doesn't last that long. In a couple of weeks when that pumpkin starts rotting what are they going to do. I guess thanksgiving is coming up, they could try stuffing the turkey with computer parts.

That is absolutely unbelievable! Who in the world would randomly come up with an idea like that? It's extremely interesting, but strange. A pumpkin for a computer???? I mean, are you serious? Well, I definitely give props to the person who did it. That is a very detailed design and I would imagine they are quite knowledgeable! Very unique idea!!

It is definitely obvious that we are living in 2006 because who would have ever made a pumpkin computer back in the day? It is neat but beyond the needs of people. I think it is just a bit much. Who really would want a computer as pumpkin all year long? I guess next it will have something kind of like changable interfaces or whatever and you could turn it into an egg for easter or a tree for christmas.

Ok I'm not sure if it's just me, but to me, this guy seems to have a little too much time on his hands. I'm not trying to judge someone so creative though, because I like being creative myself. Some would say I waste my time with my scrapbook. Anyway I think it’s a really cool and festive idea, but not a marketable one.

This is a strange idea i wonder what made them try a pumpkin? But it sounds like it would be great for the Halloween, although how do they keep the pumpkin from rotting? It is really an original idea and might inspire someone to make a computer casing out of something they enjoy to add a new kind of personal touch to their computer(I don't think Dell has anything on this!!!).

thats a creative idea to use an old pumpkin for a computer, deffenetly a festive piece. I liked how the pumpkin glew with the LED lights, those are always a nice touch.

I would never think that someone would come up with the idea to make a pumpkin into a working computer. I dont understand how it doesnt rot, they must of had some good ideas before they made it. The LED lights make it look pretty tight though.

I definitely didn’t think that someone would think something like this up. People theses days are very creative I guess. Making this computer probably took a lot of money so why use a pumpkin that can rot. I am assuming that the pumpkin is real right. It looked that way to me.

I think that it's a really neat idea but whoever did it had way too much time on their hands. The person who did it must have been pretty smart because I know I could have never thought of anything like it!! It has to suck though because they spent all that time on it and eventually it is going to rot and it will be destroyed. It was kind of a waste of time!

That is a really cool idea for the Halloween season but what exactly are they going to do with it when it starts to rot? I hope they just had spare parts laying around the house to build the computer because it would be very stupid to go out and purchase all that hardware for nothing.

When I was reading the description I thought this was so cool. It was something original and creative. I love how they made the eyes and put everything together. Pretty soon you will see them selling them on e-bay! LOL

That computer looks like it took a lot of time and effort to make. One day was someone just like, oh hey, I'm going to make a computer out of a pumpkin? How does the pumpkin not go bad?

3:39 PM

I think that the idea is very creative. I cant don't understand what they used for a grownd, because normally the case of the computer is normally the grownd. I also wonder how long the computer would last, without rotting out.

I think that providing computers for children in developing countries is a good idea. Computers are being used for everything and it’s a good thing that everyone will have the opportunity to keep up with the fast pace of the world. It is important that everyone is knowledgeable about technology and its advances. The computers sound like they are well put together so they should provide the basics. In all I think it is a good idea…

It looks like a very creative idea to do for this time of year. Personally, I wouldn’t do it. The pumpkin would go to waste faster with the heat from the computer. Then you would most likely place it somewhere in you house, so you would have to be dealing with the smell. But otherwise it’s a good idea.

This is a pretty neat concept for a computer. I would have never thought that a computer could be made out of a pumpkin. My only concern would be was weather it would rot and you would waste all that money in computer parts.

I agree. This is something that is pretty unique. If I had the money I would definately love to have access to something like this.

Wow, what a great idea! I wonder if the maker put a patent on this or not? What a great way to make some extra cash! Good luck with the sucess of the computer pumpkin!

How do people come up with stuff like this? That is pretty intense. I don't think I could ever make a pumpkin computer or a computer in general. I can't say that I have ever seen such a thing.

A pumpkin computer, I mean what are they going to come out with next? Actually I am kinda scared to know. I think that it is festive for the season, but a little over the top. It takes someone a lot of knowledge, money and patience to create something like that. Very creative.

Is this thing for sale? I don't think it would be practical at all to buy! But as far as being creative, I think these guys got it down. It kind of makes you wonder, who are these people and do they have day jobs?

That's all pretty cool, but what happens when the computer roughts? I don't think this guy is looking towards the future very much. Doesn't he know that pumpkins are seasonal fruits?

I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it. It's a shame that the pumpkin is going to go bad in a couple of days. It's very cool, just not practical.

7:18 PM

That's a really interesting idea. Wouldn't it rot before you even had time to put it together? If there was a way to preserve the pumpkin for an extended period of time, I'd say you have a winner.

I think thats lame. Why build a computer that would rot? Someone must have too much time on their hands.

I think a pumpkin computer is really cool. I could never look at a pumpkin and think, "Wow, that would be a neat computer." Whoever thought of this is very intuitive to say the least.

I think this is a really great idea. I think that maybe people should invent different computers, like the pumpkin, for the different seasons, that would be really cool. I would love to watch somebody actually put the whole thing together and actually be able to see it in person.

I guess kids could really use a laptop. But getting the internet would be a whole nother story. They look pretty cool too.

I think the pumpkin computer is very cool. It just shows that you can build anything that you put your mind to. I like how much details he put into the appearance of the computer, with the eyes and how the mouth being the d drive.

Pumpkin Computers are not cool. Pumpkins should be used for pies and jack-o-latern. I dont want my computer to rot, the cd drive mouth was mad cheesy. They should make a gingerbread computer, that'd be nice.

That is pretty creative and different. I would never spend any of my money on it though. It just baffles me the things people will do now just to be different.
